Description:
I start a vpn session to connect to the server (AWS) hosting my MySQL database.

When I opened MySQL Workbench on my PC, I got an error message...

"Error while loading image. An error occured while loading image search_sidebar.png [Close]"

I selected "Close" button and proceed to the welcome screen. Then, when I attempt to open my database connection, I get another error message...

"MySQL Workbench has encountered a problem. Parameter is not valid. We are sorry for the inconvenience but an unexpected exception has been raised by one of the MySQL Workbench modules. In order to fix this issue we would kindly ask you to file a bug report. You can do that by pressing the [Report Bug] button below. Please make sure to include a detailed description of your actions that lead to this problem. Thanks a lot for taking the time to helpus improve MySQL Workbench! The MySQL Workbench Team. [Report Bug]  [Close]"

When I close the second error message I am unable to open my MySQL database connection.

How to repeat:
 I can't open my database connection in MySQL Workbench. Steps and error messages are described above in "Description" field

Thank you for the bug report. Try to re-install using the repair option.

Thank you for the quick response. I am new to MySQL Workbench and unfamiliar with the "repair option". Can you elaborate?

Run the installer, next and then select repair
