You all had better take a look at correcting this page (and perhaps others as well) because it also references the wrong version of the .NET Framework! https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/workbench/

I have 4.5.5 installed and still get this error over a month after it was reported.

After getting the error defined. I used https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42643 per J Scavok and it installation worked for me. Thanks Scavok!

Posted by developer: Fixed as of the upcoming MySQL Workbench 8.0.0 release, and here's the changelog entry: The MySQL Workbench prerequisites web page was updated to include links to the latest Microsoft downloads. Thank you for the bug report.

Meanwhile users of 6.3 are still being miss-directed to the WRONG version of .NET. How difficult is it to change a URL on one of your web pages to link to the correct version of .NET for Workbench 6.3? Apparently it's TOO DAMN DIFFICULT for y'all!

This is the URL I'm referring to: https://dev.mysql.com/resources/wb62_prerequisites.html It STILL ERRONEOUSLY points to the WRONG version of the .NET Framework!
