Description:
I see MySQL 5.7 is suitable for Windows 2008 R2 in OS Compatible lists, but not given details for Windows 2008 Standard.

When I try to install in one of Windows 2008 Standard server, I am getting error as below:

Does not find procedure entry point to TryAcquireSRWLockExclusive in dynamics link library KERNEL32.dll

Is this due to OS compatibility error or is this related to some thing else.

How to repeat:
Download the latest MySQL 5.7 installer file and try to install in Windows 2008 Standard server. Getting error:

Does not find procedure entry point to TryAcquireSRWLockExclusive in dynamics link library KERNEL32.dll

Hello Phanindra G,

Thank you for the report.
Imho Microsoft Windows 2008 Server is not supported for 5.7.
Please see the note by Developer in Bug #76203

Also, listed in EOL https://www.mysql.com/support/eol-notice.html

Thanks,
Umesh
