I'm using MySQL Workbench Community (GPL) for Windows version 6.1.4  revision 11773 build 1454 (Community Server). I went into Edit>Preferences>SQL Editor and checked the 'Use UPPERCASE keywords on completion' box. I closed and restarted Workbench, and it did not work. I also restarted the computer and still nothing. 

Suggestions?

How to repeat:
Go to Edit>Preferences>SQL Editor and check the 'Use UPPERCASE keywords on completion' box. Then type a query and see if the keywords become uppercase.

Some keywords aren't capitalized i.e: FROM.

I think here's a misunderstanding. The OP expects WB to change the entire query to have uppercase keywords. However, the built-in function is only about what is used in code completion. If enable keywords are already in uppercase in the code completion dropdown and are inserted that way. See also the attached images.

If my assumption is correct then this report is not valid.
