Description:
I have a local MySQL DB, that I normally start with XAMP and then connect with MySQL workbench.  I decided let me try to start with MySQL workbench to see how smart it is.  I have probably not setup something,; have not researched this.  However, upon failure to start up the DB the application throws an unhanded exception which results in the application  freezing up an I need to apply a force quit to terminate the MySQL Workbench 

How to repeat:
Prequisites: 

Local MySQL DB
Existing MySQL Connection to such DB. 
Local MySQL DB is stopped

Steps:
1.) Start MySQL workbench
2.) Select connection for local MySQL DB
3.) Select Instance -> Startup
4.) Select 'Start Server' button

The below exception is thrown and the application freezes in a dialog box.  THe dialog box does not go away when you click on the 'Ok' button and thus MySQL workbench is in a frozen state.  

Unhandled exception: Can't connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (1) (code 2003)

Please provide the version 6.0.9 otherwise please upgrade to this version. Thanks.
