Description:
Several days ago I installed MySQL Workbench. Initially I did not have any problems opening and using it. Very recently, whenever I try to open the Workbench, an error displays saying "External component has thrown an exception - We are sorry for the inconvenience but an unexpected exception has been raised by one of the MySQL Workbench modules." I was then prompted to report the bug online. When I close the error box, I then get a Runtime Error saying "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way." When I close that, MySQL Workbench itself closes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Workbench. The exact same error appeared when I tried opening the Workbench again.

How to repeat:
I'm not sure what specific element or function is causing this crash. I did not run into any errors like this when I first installed MySQL Workbench. I'm new to MySQL and am unfamiliar with the sorts of things that would cause a problem such as this.

1 Open the MySQL Workbench aplication;
2 At first it comes up a pop up box written the following error: "
	MySQL Workbench has encountered  problem
	External component has thrown an exception
	We are sorry for the inconvenience but an unexpected 		exception has been raised by one of the MySQL Workbench modules. 	In order to fix this issue we would kindly ask you to file a bug 	report. You can do that by pressing the [Report Bug] 	button 		below.
3 So i click on CLOSE box, and the aplication ends, or i may report the bug, as i am doing now.

What happens if you remove the cache files:

C:\Users\your_user_name\AppData\Roaming\MySQL\Workbench\cache

I'm also having the same issue as Jordan.
And deleting the cache doesn't seem to help.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am also having this issue. I have tried deleting the cache and that doesnt seem to help
