Description:
I have installed the JRE however the MySQL migration Toolkit does not pass the "Intialized Java Loader". It gives the following error message:
An error occured during the initialization of the runtime system. Plaese make sure you have the Java Runtime Environemnt (JRE) 5.0 Update 8 or newer installed.

I run the Java tester of Oracle that confirmes that in the system is installed Java v.1.7.0_13 that is Java 7 update 17.

I had problems having NySQL administrator working till I realized that I had to run it as Administrator. I did the same with the toolkit without success.

I am running a WIndows 7 x64 operating system (12GB RAM) + huge Hard disk space
I would appreciate an advise.
Thanks a lot,
Ioannis K.

The MySQL Migration toolkit was end of life (EOL) on December 18, 2009.

Please see

  http://www.mysql.com/support/eol-notice.html

The replacement is MySQL Workbench.
