I couldn't repeat on Server 2008 Standard below System Info: MySQL Workbench CE for Windows version 5.2.34 Configuration Directory: C:\Users\miguel\AppData\Roaming\MySQL\Workbench Data Directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Workbench CE 5.2.34.2 Cairo Version: 1.8.8 Rendering Mode: OpenGL is not available on this system, so GDI is used for rendering. OS: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit CPU: 2x AMD Phenom(tm) 9650 Quad-Core Processor, 2.4 GiB RAM Current user language: Portuguese (Brazil)

Please ensure you have installed the 32bit version of the MSVC runtimes, not 64.
