Hello Toni, what method did you use to perform the upgrade from 09.04 -> 10.04 (on official ubuntu pages there are only direct-upgrade-instructions from 8.04 and 9.10)

Hello Johannes! I used Synaptic for the upgrade.

Did you re-install all workbench dependencies like python packages and so on?

On my Ubuntu here: ** (mysql-workbench-bin:3987): WARNING **: GRTTreeView column 0 doesn't exit ** (mysql-workbench-bin:3987): WARNING **: GRTTreeView column 1 doesn't exit ** (mysql-workbench-bin:3987): WARNING **: GRTTreeView column 0 doesn't exit ** (mysql-workbench-bin:3987): WARNING **: GRTTreeView column 1 doesn't exit ** (mysql-workbench-bin:3987): WARNING **: GRTTreeView column 0 doesn't exit ** (mysql-workbench-bin:3987): WARNING **: GRTTreeView column 0 doesn't exit ** (mysql-workbench-bin:3987): WARNING **: GRTTreeView column 0 doesn't exit ** Message: Trying to load module '/home/miracee/wb52se/lib/mysql-workbench/modules/wb_utils_grt.py' (python) .... After this column doesn't exist stuff the first is running a python script ... that let me guess that your upgrade deleted pyton from your system. Try to install python again.
