Not sure. If above helps keep bug. If not delete. I'll try to reproduce.

I have the same error message everytime I try to launch mysqlworkbench 5.2ce
I double-clic my connection in the list under "open connection to start querying"
then it crashes

Please, check if the same problem ever happens with a newer version of Workbench, 5.2.27.
