************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

How to repeat:
* Pull in a database to create an ERD
* Start adding the FK's
* During the column to -> referenced column failures start to happen

Well, I tried to reproduce the problem and surely I could not. I'm afraid I need more details, preferably a step-by-step list which reliably reproduces the crash. Maybe you can attach a model here which I can use as basis instead rev-eng an own one. Also include exactly how you created the FK, because there are several ways to do that.
[29 Jul 2009 14:24] Jonathan Miller
As I said, while trying to create FK links on the ERD I would get these error.

How did you open Workbench. Did you just click onto the mwb or did you first open Workbench and then opened the mwb file?

I cannot reproduce this problem, regardless what I try. If anyone else can, please let me know a reliable reproduction, otherwise I cannot fix it. Of course, there is always the chance that this problem got fixed implicitly by other changes in the past 4 weeks since the 5.1.16 release, but that's rather unlikely.

Jonathan,

Would you happen to have a different Windows machine or VM around?
If so, could you please try repeating it there? Something tells me the problem you're
having is affected by something specific in your system.

Today I tried with the released binary (.16) instead the current sources and still cannot reproduce the problem mentioned here. Could you give me a reproducible step list that I can use to find the cause? If you need reverse engineering pls use a commonly used db like "mysql" or "sakila". Thanks.

Steps where listed in the 29 Jul 21:22 posting.

If you can not reproduce, then I suggest that you close the bug as "can not reproduce".

With my currently work load and expectations, I really don't have more time to spend on this.

I couldn't repeat this issue on Windows Vista.
