Description:
MySQLWorkbench worked fine for some time. After a reboot, the MySQLWorkBench.exe file experiences an APPCRASH upon startup:

"Faulting application MySQLWorkbench.exe, version 5.0.25.3427, time stamp 0x48c7fcb9, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x00000000, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x09892b80, process id 0x%9, application start time 0x%10."

Windows Vista reports the error and traps it in the Event Log. Windows XP does not report the error, nor does it show any kind of crash screen...the application simply shows the splash screen and then when the splash screen goes away the application never starts. I have verified that on XP there are no hung processes after this failure and no entries in the Application log.

I have attempted uninstalling and reinstalling, including going back in versions to 5.0.23, 5.0.24, and finally 5.0.25. The results are the same on both platforms for all three versions of the workbench.

How to repeat:
Open the workbench in the noted environments after opening the attached model.

I discovered my os upgraded my ATI display driver on both computers. The problem was a rendering issue. when I use the -swrendering option it solves the problem.

What I still don't understand is what is causing this issue. My understanding was that OpenGL 1.5 was required, and this card is certified OpenGL 1.5? At any rate, I suspect this is an ATI issue and not a problem with WorkBench.
