Description:
Pressing Ctrl+Z to undo typing after switching from another tab causes the SQL Query Area to go blank. You can only get the SQL back with Ctrl+Shift+Z to redo.

There also are no Undo/Redo items (with the keyboard shortcuts documented) on the Edit menu. And I would prefer that CTRL+Y be mapped to Redo like EditPlus uses.

How to repeat:
1. Type in SQL
2. Switch to another tab and back
3. Press Ctrl+Z

SQL disappears

Suggested fix:
The Undo and Redo typing sequences should be retained independently for each tab and should not blank the SQL.

Thank you for a problem report. Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z are currently used to navigate through queries history, not to Undo or Redo changes in test editor sense. That is why there are no Undo/Redo items on the Edit menu.

So, I'll mark this report as a (verified) request for menu items (and shortcuts) to undo and redo changes in current query text, like in any modern text editor.

Many thanks for writing a bug report. We are on the way to implement full functionality of MySQL Query Browser into MySQL Workbench. We won't add this feature request anymore.
