This is a known problem with c/odbc v5 (alpha-1) and will be corrected in a future release. For now; please consider using c/odbc v3.51.12. Thanks for the bug report.
Description: We are unable to connect to a MySql 5.0.13 server using Microsoft Visual FoxPro and the ODBCv5 connector. There are no problems connecting to a 4.13 server using an ODBC v3.51 connector. Using the ODBC Admin in Windows 2000 says it can connect to the database, but when trying to connect from FoxPro, it returns an unable to connect flag. How to repeat: Running the command gnconnhandle = SQLSTRINGCONNECT("dsn=server;uid=username;pwd=password")
