Description:
when attempting to set up a connection to my database using ODBC Data source Administrator (64-bit) I receive the above error - of course I am not creating any connection string the programme is doing that.....

Could you please provide repeatable test case (exact steps, connection string, ODBC connector version, screenshot etc. - please make it as private if you prefer) to confirm this issue at our end?

I have provided you the version
I do not know the connection string as it must be programmatically generated.
My further testing reveals that the error occurs when I have a closed curl bracket } in the password
