Description:
OS X with Server 5.0.15 installation running web servers, PHP and 2 databases each with approx. 40 tables.
New HW/SW installation running test OK. Went to production, and in within 8 hours it happens the first time.
Monitoring the performance_schema/global_status/Open_files, the number never goes down.

How to repeat:
For me it happens at least every 4 hours of normal use (production), unless i stop and start mysql

Suggested fix:
Close some open_files or demand for more system resources
