The Edit table command still lets you edit the query. You just need to drag the splitter down. Or you can just type SELECT by hand to get the query exactly as you want.

An old thread I know, but I've just seen it. Whilst I appreciate that this is a matter of personal taste, please note that everyone here, inlcuding myself, MUCH prefers the new alter table in a tab to the old-style pop up. Please do not remove this functionality! - make it an option if you do decide to re-implement the popup. *imo* the WB devs have done wonders in improving the UI over the last few releases and returning to popups would be a retrograde step.

No action required here. Using tabs instead floating windows was a decision we did by full intent and many users support this. Editing the ALTER SQL is still possible.
