Description:
I downloaded MySQL 5.6 and tried to apply FULLTEXT index on a column, but get the error message ERROR 1214: The used table type doesn't support FULLTEXT indexes

How to repeat:
Create a new table with a Innodb database, and apply FULLTEXT index on a column.

What exact version, 5.6.x, you had downloaded?

I downloaded mysql-5.6.2-m5-win32.msi

Please, re-read that press release carefully. It mentions labs.mysql.com. So, please,go to that page and choose proper snapshot binaries for FULLTEXT support in InnoDB, mysql-5.6-labs-innodb-fts. Download and check with it.
