Description:
I have just successfully downloaded and installed the lastest version of MySQL.

I have downloaded and ran the installer for Workbench. First of all I downloaded and installed .net 4 through the installer and downloaded .net 4 updates from the Windows Update site

When I run the shortcut for WorkBench, i get the splash screen for 5 seconds and then it disappears.

I've uninstalled and re-installed but nothing.

How to repeat:

I have searched the forums and found a work around.

If you right click on the shortcut, properties, compatabilty, and choose XP mode.

Works fine for me
