Description:
Please create a YUM and APT repository for MySQL and optionally also for mysql-proxy, MySQL Enterprise Edition, MySQL Enterprise Backup, MySQL Workbench and MySQ Enterprise Monitor.

http://pkg.oracle.com/
http://public-yum.oracle.com/

This can make it easier to install MySQL and to keep it up2date (which can be needed for security).

How to repeat:
See Description

Suggested fix:
Add RPM/YUM Repository or add it to the repositories below.

http://pkg.oracle.com/ (Solaris 11)
http://public-yum.oracle.com/

This is partly fixed now: http://insidemysql.com/announcing-new-yum-repositories-for-mysql/

Yum repository is now live at repo.mysql.com, with docs at
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/linux-installation-yum-repo.html

Time will show if/how/when we resolve the second part (apt repo).

I think this one can be closed based on
