Description:
apache commons logging, as supported by com/mysql/jdbc/log/CommonsLogger.java has been replaced by http://www.slf4j.org as the standard logging facade.  connector/j should provide a logger for the new standard, and maintain the old logger for backwards compatibility

look for an slf4j logger in the source

We ship slf4j logger since c/J 5.1.15
