Description:
Please have a look at the video at following Address. It shows how to reproduce the bug. 

Immediatly after open a model, closing all tabs, opening connection manager, closing connection manager causes an exception.

this happens in all connection/instance management dialogs when closed without home screen present (thanks for the video!).

An entry has been added to the 5.2.17 changelog:

If all screens and tabs were closed in MySQL Workbench and then Data, Manage Connections selected, then when the Manage DB Connections dialog was closed an unknown exception occurred.
