Description:
From http://wb.mysql.com/?page_id=152:

sudo apt-get install
build-essential autoconf automake libtool
libzip-dev libxml2-dev libsigc++-2.0-dev libglade2-dev
libgtkmm-2.4-dev libglu1-mesa-dev libgl1-mesa-glx mesa-common-dev libmysqlclient15-dev uuid-dev liblua5.1-dev libpixman-1-dev
libpcre3-dev libgnome2-dev libgtk2.0-dev libpango1.0-dev
libcairo2-dev python-dev libboost-dev

FROM README file (less README):

sudo apt-get install
build-essential autoconf automake libtool
libzip-dev libxml2-dev libsigc++-2.0-dev libglade2-dev
libgtkmm-2.4-dev libglu1-mesa-dev libmysqlclient15-dev uuid-dev
liblua5.1-dev libglitz-dev libglitz-glx-dev libpcre3-dev
g++ libsqlite3-dev libglade2-dev libgnome2-dev

As you see, this informations are different. Which is correct?

How to repeat:
$ less README
$ lynx http://wb.mysql.com/?page_id=152

compare the packages behind sudo apt-get install

Suggested fix:
overwork the lists
[24 Feb 2010 2:07] Alfredo Kojima
List of deps has been updated to match blog.
[25 Feb 2010 18:14] Johannes Taxacher
files have been updated
[26 Feb 2010 15:49] Tony Bedford
An entry has been added to the 5.2.17 changelog:

There were discrepancies between the list of pre-requisite packages given on the MySQL Workbench website and those listed in the README file in the MySQL Workbench distribution.
