Description:
I've built mysql workbench 5.2.11 Beta from source code on my linux distribution (namely Pardus 2009). Now connecting to the mysql server instance and sending queries through the workbench is fine, but when I double-click on the mysql instance name in the "Server Administration" box, it says;

"Administration plugin not found"

on status bar.

How to repeat:
Double-click on an instance name in "Server Administration" listbox.

oh, and btw it's on localhost, and mysql v. 5.1.41

maybe some python module is missing. Could you maybe join us on our irc channel? I see the same thing. I did a build from source on FC10. After installing all required packages, I did make and make install, without problems.
Then I had to install paramiko, and after that Workbench starts OK. But I do see the same "Administration plugin not found". In the terminal window where I started WB, I see this:

_view_impl has NULL ptr at 14
_app_impl has NULL ptr at 5

The problem in my case was pexpect was missing. Installing that fixed my installation at least.

Running Slackware Kernel 2.6.28.7 with a complete Python installation and installed pexpect after reading this bug. Same errors as you guys were listing. Were you able to find out anything over at the IRC channel? To the moderator: it's beneficial to post any solutions you provided to Abdullah on IRC over here after the fact, since this is the actual bug report where people come for solutions: anything discussed on IRC won't be available to others unless it's subsequently posted here?
