Description:
When using "New Connection" on a fresh installation for the first time the newly created connection does not show in the connections list until it is actually used from within "Open Connection to start Querying" or a 2nd new connection is created.

How to repeat:
* start a fresh installation
* create a connection using "New Connection"
-> connection list still empty
* create a 2nd connection or open the newly created connection via "Open Connection to start Querying"
-> now it shows

Suggested fix:
Make the 1st created connection show up in the connection list right away after creation, too

An entry has been added to the 5.2.16 changelog:

The first connection created with New Connection did not appear immediately in the list of available connections.
