Description:
Installing mysql-5.4.3-beta-winx64.msi on W2K8SE x64 leads to unusable instance config (see attached image).

How to repeat:
Install mysql-5.4.3-beta-winx64.msi on W2K8SE x64.

Maybe Instance Config window should be resizable...

Lowering severity as Instance Config can be started after installation and window appears normal on screen.

This is a duplicate of lots of other reports here. It is not specific for 5.4 .. also 5.1 had this problem.  The problem is not consistent. It is occasional and/or related to specific hardware/driver/OpenGL? configurations.

I'm having the same problems and it displays in the same unusable format every time I access MySQL Server Instance Config Wizard for 5.1.42.  Is there a workaround to get mySQL configured on Vista x64?

Thank you for the bug report. We are closing this report now for two related reasons:

* MySQL Server 5.4 is an unreleased, unsupported and obsolete version of MySQL Server
* For newer MySQL Server versions, the config wizard is no longer available, and the MySQL Installer for Windows is the recommended way to install MySQL Server on Windows
