Description:
Our japanese customer try to install latest MEM into several Linux distribution.

They can install it on Asianux Server3 SP2 and CentOS5.3,
But they cannot install it on Miracle　Linux4.0(SP2).

# Miracle Linux 4.0 is a variation of Asianux. (Asianux has a compatibility for RHEL 4.0)

When installation, this message were displayed and dumped.
# ./mysqlmonitor-2.0.6.7159-linux-x86-installer.bin --mode text
There has been an error. A debug file has been created at:

Please attach it to any bug report.
The application will exit now.

I supposed it caused by BitRock.

They can work around the problem by temporarily renaming /etc/redflag-release to /etc/redflag-release.previous and creating a new /etc/redhat-release file that contains

Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5 (Tikanga)

It works well.

Patch installed in versions => 2.1.1.1104 & versions => 2.2.0.1501.

Is there any possibility to modify this problem in MEM 2.0.x ?

This will not be backported to 2.0, so resolving now.

A note has been added to the 2.1.1, 2.2.0 changelogs: 

        &merlin; would fail to install on Miracle Linux4.
