Description:
This is the same bug for LAYERS like

How to repeat:
Double-clicking several layer will ADD a tab, double-clicking tables and relationship will REUSE a tab.

Affects text boxes, too. Pretty annoying.

Thank you for the problem report. Verified just as described on Windows. We need a uniform policy here.

Cannot repeat in Mac, have to try in Windows and Linux

An entry was added to the 5.1.17 changelog:

In the EER Diagram, if a layer was double-clicked a new tab was added to the Table Editor. However, if a relationship or table was double-clicked any existing tab would be reused, rather than a new tab being created. There appeared to be no consistent policy on how double-clicks should be handled.
