Description:
If you have your cursor on any of the fields for dialog boxes, the text is highlighted, but you can only see the top of the text. Making it very difficult to read.

The only way to read it, is to go to the next text box, so that the selection moves away.

How to repeat:
1- Go to Preferences -> General tab
2- Try to read the Undo history Value.

Same for the Model tab and others

Suggested fix:
Make the text boxes taller.

I do not have this problem with 5.1.16 on Mac OS X.

Yes, it only happens on 5.2.1 Alpha on Mac OS X

Actually, I do not see this problem with 5.2.1 also (just installed it again over 5.1.16) on my 15" MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.5.6:

 Model Name:	MacBook Pro
 Model Identifier:	MacBookPro5,1
 Processor Name:	Intel Core 2 Duo
 Processor Speed:	2.53 GHz

What hardware do you use? Can you send a screenshot demonstrating the problem?

hm, after you said 5.1 did not show the problem, I also downloaded that version, and did not see the text cut-off.

And now 5.2.1 seems "fixed", as in, I don't see the problem any more.

If I see it again I'll upload some screen shots

Ok, I found the perfect steps to reproduce it:

1- Open WB
2- Go to the MySQL Model tab
3- Click on "Add Table"
4- Go to MySQLWorkbench->Preferences
5- There you are, text will be half visible.

In short, it has to do with the "table editor" If it is present, the text on dialog boxes is cut off.

I hope you can see this (so it may affect earlier versions as well)

Fixed in 5.1 and 5.2

An entry was added to the 5.1.17 and 5.2.3 changelogs:

If the Table Editor had been invoked then the Text Boxes in the Tools, Preferences dialog became vertically misaligned. This only happened for MySQL Workbench running on Mac OS X.
