Description:
NdbTransaction::restart() is not documented (and hidden from Doxygen) but is used in both the ndb_scan example source (with problems though, see bugs #39572, #39573) and in the source for the ndb_delete_all utility.

It seems to be crucial to use it together with execute(Commit) in the outer scan result processing loop to split large scan based updates or deletes into smaller transactions though.

How to repeat:
search the ndbapi documentation for "restart" -> zero hits

restart() is used in public examples and in the implementation
of standard tools though, so it actually should be public?

Suggested fix:
Document the NdbTransaction::restart() method (or remove it from all examples ...)

According to yesterday's email discussion with Jonas, this method is scheduled for removal (timeframe unknown).

Meantime, we have examples (and possibly other things) that depend on something that cannot be documented. 

Since this method can't be documented, we need to remove or modify any dependencies on it (perhaps there are others in addition to what Hartmut has found?). This is a task for the developers, not Docs, so I've removed myself as assignee, changed the category to Cluster:API, and set Erlend as the lead (BOcklin being on vacation IIRC).

When the bug is fixed and we've resolved these dependencies (in whatever fashion), then there will be something to be documented.

i removed it from examples...
but didn't have energy to do the same from delete_all.cpp
(requires more work...)

is this good enough ?
