Description:
The mysql server will start as a service, it will not server data or allow me to access it with the administrator client and in general is unresponsive. If I try to stop the service it will hang on the shut down and I have to end the process manually.

I have uninstalled it an reinstalled it several times. It seems to hang on when the on the configuration execution security stage and I have to end the configurator process.

If I start it in stand alone mode it works fine.

How to repeat:
this seems to be an issue with how mysql is runing as a service
