You can copy the text by using the context menu, but not by pressing command+C (apple+C).

this issue seems fixed after latest changes in table editor. wil be included in 5.1.13

An entry has been added to the 5.1.13 changelog: It was not possible to rename a table created using Add Table, by copying text into its text field.
