I am using MySQL WorkBench 5.0.30 SE and severely effected from this problem. I do not have a secondary video output and have no monitor wider than mine nearby. So, quite stucked. Besides a horizontol scrollbar and double-click in the catalog pane, following options are also viable : 1. Drop-down list just like ones used in "MySQL Model" page and "Main Editor Window" 2. Add much more capabilities to context menu of the items of CATALOG pane - a tree view. There is no risk of visual interface hinders for tree views. Besides I would prefer it over a fancy "Physical Schemata" pane design. Some recommendations for the context menu of different type of items : Schema : Show in the "Physical Schemata" (a solution to the subject of this bug) Tables : Add Table Table : Add Trigger Views : Add View Routine Groups : Add Routine Group Routine Group : Add Routine

instead of adding a scrollbar we added a small down-arrow-button at the right side of the schema-tab-bar which provides a dropdown to select and scroll to a specific schema-tab (similar to the way common browsers handle their tabs). will be included in 5.1.18

An entry was added to the 5.1.18 and 5.2.3 changelogs: In the Physical Schemata pane if more schema were added than could fit within the pane, then these schema could not be viewed, as there was no ability to scroll the pane. Further, double clicking the schema in the Catalog pane did not locate the schema in the Physical Schemata pane. MySQL Workbench was changed so that a small down arrow button was added to the right side of the Physical Schemata tab bar. This provides a dropdown to select a specific schema tab.
