Description:
Downloaded the latest version of MySQL Install (51a), and then went to the archives and downloaded 45 as well. Seems MySQLInstanceConfig.exe is broken, when I try to run it, get a strange error.

I noticed that the EXE is 1MB smaller than a working one. Should be easy to reproduce.

How to repeat:
Download latest MySQL Install pcakage ( mysql-5.0.51a-winx64 ), run MySQLInstanceConfig.exe

Thank you for a problem report. Please, be more specific - what exact error message you got? Do you use XP x64 or 2003?

Message:

"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail."

Size of EXE: 2897kb

I got around the problem by grabbing the EXE from an older version of the install. Size of that EXE: 3387kb

Running on Windows Server 2008 x64, though I don't think this is the issue (unless the installer is doing some wonky detection and installing the wrong version of the exe)
