It looks similar to my problem ... Could you please check apache log? Is there "child pid xxxx exit signal Segmentation fault (11)"?

it might be relative to this: http://eventum.mysql.org/wiki/index.php/FAQ#Problem:_I_want_to_close_an_issue_but_all_I_ge.... Instead of checking the apache log, an optione is enabling error_reporting in config.php which shows the exact error at the moment.
