The FILES table provides information about the files in which MySQL NDB tables are
stored.

Actually it should probably read: 

The FILES table provides information about the files in which MySQL NDB Disk Data tables
are stored.

or

The FILES table provides information about the files in which MySQL Cluster Disk Data
tables are stored.
