Description:
When starting the Query Browser, the "Connect to MySQL Server Instance" window pops up. If all fields are filled in except the password, filling in the password and clicking okay works just fine. However, if the Server Host field needs to be filled in, typing in this field is extremely slow. (A good ten seconds or longer for each character to display.) This behavior then affects the other fields as well (i.e. response is now slow in the other fields, too).

In case it matters, we have the MySQL server is running on several Linux platforms. None of the "Advanced Connection Options" are being used.

How to repeat:
Run the MySQL Query Browser from your Windows XP. When the "Connect to MySQL Server Instance" window pops up, attempt to change the Server Host.

Suggested fix:
Improve performance.
