Description:
The command select * from information_schema.files causes server crash.

How to repeat:
suse:/MySQL_51/mysql # mysql -P 3307
Enter password:
Welcome to the MySQL monitor.  Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MySQL connection id is 2 to server version: 5.1.12-beta-log

Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the buffer.

mysql> select * from information_schema.files;
ERROR 2013 (HY000): Lost connection to MySQL server during query
mysql>
