Description:
MySQL Adminictrator drop server option skip-character-set-client-handshake, that exist in my.ini. After that client connect to server with character set latin1, that dont equal server charset.

How to repeat:
1. Еdit my.ini manualy
2. Add row in my.ini skip-character-set-client-handshake.
3. Save my.ini
4. Open MySQL Administrator
5. Do some changes in Startup Variables
6. Apply changes.
7. Open manualy my.ini and find row with skip-character-set-client-handshake.
8. Find row skip-character-set-client-handshake. It have view like #(Unknown option:)skip-character-set-client-handshake. Another words this row is commet.

Suggested fix:
Add option skip-character-set-client-handshake to Administrator interface.

I think it is in the MySQL System Tray Monitor "Configure Instance option"

Hi,

as a temporary workaround you might want to look at xml/mysqladmin_startup_variables_description.xml file in the MySQL Administrator (MA) directory. It contains the descriptions of all options accepted by MA. You can add the option you've mentioned and it will be correctly handled by MA.

Проблема- с подскажите, что делать?шедулером. и еще-при каждом новом запуске выдает ошибку.

настройки,делаемые по рекомендации багтрака не сохраняются. как сделать-ПРАВИЛЬНО?
