Most likely, you have hit a bug, but this error can also be caused by malfunctioning hardware.

The manual page at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/crashing.html contains
information that should help you find out what is causing the crash.
Please take a look at https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/MySQL/FAQ for tips on fixing common upgrade issues.
Once the problem is resolved, run apt-get --fix-broken install to retry.

This is occurring for me as well. It appears to have started since Ubuntu upgraded MySQL from 8.0.30 to 8.0.32 or 8.0.33. Uncertain if it's MySQL or an underlying package dependency; can provide information as needed.

This does not pertain to any particular query; mysqld will fail to start from a fresh boot, and no queries can be performed.

Hi Mr. Modugno,

Thank you for your bug report.

However, we need additional info.

Did you use a package from Ubuntu site or from our public download page, on http://dev.mysql.com ???

If you are using MySQL original package, can you provide the full filename that you used.

We have checked with our Release Engineering team and we have got the definite answer that Oracle MySQL does NOT support that platform.

You can try to build it from source, but we can not provide any help with your project.

Unsupported.

MySQL Team,

I used the Ubuntu package directly with apt-get install mysql-server.

Thanks!
