How to repeat:
create table t1(a int, b varchar(12), key ba(b, a));
insert into t1 values (1, 'A'), (20, NULL);
explain select * from t1 where a=20 and b is null;
select * from t1 where a=20 and b is null;

--> empty set returned.

A patch for this bug has been committed. After review, it may
be pushed to the relevant source trees for release in the next
