Description:
I am running 6.3.4 and the current version is 6.3.6. When I check for updates it tells me I am running the latest version, when I am not. The current release when reporting this bug is 6.3.6 and I am running 6.3.4.

How to repeat:
Goto "Help", click "Check for updates" and the report is "You are already using the latest version of MySQL Workbench"

Thank you for the bug report. Please check with current version 6.3.6 there is no back-port fix for older version like 6.3.4. Thanks.

I obviously won't get the bug with 6.3.6 as there is no newer version and only when there is a newer version released, the bug will appear on 6.3.6.

I had the same bug for all previous versions I used, just never bothered to report it.

Thank you for the feedback.
This is also observed on Win7 with 6.3.4/6.3.5.

MySQL Workbench 6.3.7 has been released, but I found WB 6.3.6 can't detect WB 6.3.7 by "Checking for Updates" yet.

I seem WB goes to http://wb.mysql.com/installer/products.xml for detecting newer version ( See https://github.com/mysql/mysql-workbench/blob/6.3.6/modules/wb.utils/wb_utils_grt.py#L585 )

http://wb.mysql.com/installer/products.xml says current WB version is "6.2.3".
This issue may not be WB's, but maintaining products.xml's one.

Fixed as of the upcoming MySQL Workbench 6.3.9 release, and here's the changelog entry:

Check for Updates from the Help menu failed to detect new releases.

Thank you for the bug report.
