Description:
I downloaded the MySQL and MySQL workbench for a Database course I am currently taking at school. The installation went well, and I immediately started using the program. After I finished for the day, I saved and closed the program, along with my laptop. Today I tried to re-open the program as well as the database files I was working with yesterday, however I get this error:

"Runtime error: Unable to execute command chcp. Please make sure that the C:\Windows\System32 directory is in your PATH environment variable."

Then I get the error:

"Unhandled exception: Current profile has no WMI enabled."

I am not familiar with this program, therefore I am having a hard time solving this issue. I looked up the issue online, and methods that have worked for others do not work for me.

For example, many solutions required me to copy the chcp.com file to the SysWOW64 folder, which it already exists. Therefore that solution does not work. Has anyone had this issue with this version on Windows?

How to repeat:
In order to view these error messages, I open the MySQL Workbench and then click Local Connection. This should open my connection previously established with the work that I completed the previous day. Once I click Local Connection, it says to Standby and then the errors appear on my screen.

I just installed MySQL workbench 8.1 on my win10 64 bit system. I successfully created and tested a MySQL connection. However, each time i open the SQL editor for this connection and select server status, I get the following errors:

(1) Runtime Exception: Unable to execute command chcp. Please make sure that C:\Windows\System32 directory is in your PATH environment variables

(2) Unhandled exception: current profile has no WMI enabled.

I will be grateful if someone can help resolve this issue. Thanks.
