Fixed as of the MySQL Workbench 6.2.0 release, and here's the changelog entry: On Mac OS X, closed query tabs could reopen after restarting MySQL Workbench. Thank you for the bug report.

Why is closed? This still happens on version 6.3.3 and Windows 7.

This is not a bug!!! You have to go to Edit --> Preferences --> General --> SQL Editor (panel) and uncheck "Save snapshot of open editor...." bie
