Please, send the content of MySQL server's error log. This is usually a file named <hostname>.err in the datadir ("C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5\Data\" by default).

theres no hostname.err or any ending in .err can u suggest something better to use?? My panelist in my defense told me to use MySQL server /(Database)for my program. Im using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and I already downloaded the connector. This is for my Thesis 1 and 2. Thank you for helping :)

Ahaha Fixed my Problem the service name has already been taken there's already MySQL folder created so I changed it to MySQL5.5 thats why it wont start coz it has already been created so I changed all folder named MySQL then install again this is mostly the problem created by most users.. been seeing it in youtube Uninstalling doesnt delete the MySQL folder in the first place so the next time you install it, it will no longer work unless u delete all folders naming MySQL
