Description:
To start with, fonts are a little oversized and funny compared to their Mac OS X and Windows counterparts.

Even after I edit in Appearance -> Fonts section, it is not applied and no changes are seen.

How to repeat:
Click on Edit -> Preferences -> Appearance -> Edit the fonts in the editor to a value smaller than the default value (8 in my case).

Suggested fix:
Please beautify the UI. Better fonts is first in line for beatification followed by themes or sleeker design elements.

An entry has been added to the 5.2.21 changelog:

Changing the fonts in the Workbench Preferences dialog had no effect on the appearance of MySQL Workbench.
