Description:
Hi,

I have turned off the 'Create log' files setting associated with schedule backup. However I keep seeing .log dropping in my root drive.

Expected behaviour: Log to event view of NT6

How to repeat:
1. Turn of log file associated with schedule backups setting
2. Create new schedule backup
3. Fire scheduled event

Suggested fix:
C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Tools for 5.0\MySQLAdministrator.exe

"-UDC:\Users\Jared\AppData\Roaming\MySQL\" "-clocalhost" "-bplive" "-btD:\asus.workspace\" "-bxlive"

1. Fix Administrator
2. Revamp Schedule task to use mysqldump.exe (my preferred fix)

Thank you for the feedback. I am not able to repeat the behavior reported,
instead on Windows Vista Ultimate X64 I am getting the opposite bug: I can't
create log files when checking that option and on any directory I had configured,
I thought the problem was Vista security because only as Administrator I can
create files in the root C:\ directory. Do you have any clue regarding
security?. Thanks.

Hi Mig,

Start > Run > msconfig > Tools > Disable UAC

That should straighten up tour Vista machine.

And restart the PC afterwards.

I faced the same problem with MySQL Administrator version 1.2.17.
Here I behaved quite odd.
When I initially enabled it, it just didn't create the log.
Later I changed the directory from default C:\ to D:\SOMEFOLDER\ ;
and it started logging the events.
I also noted that it didn't log, if scheduler service is off on windows and scheduled backup don't occur.
Mysql Version: 5.0.83
