Description:
When the Connector/Net 5.01 Beta installer starts working (about 2/3 of progress bar), Norton Antivirus 2006 issues a "Malicious Script Detected" message and recommends stopping the script. Accepting the recommendation interrupts the installer midway (it does not return to the initial state, and if opened again it will attempt to change, not start, the installation).

How to repeat:
I suppose the same OS and Antivirus configuration will produce the same results when the installer is applied.

Suggested fix:
Verify that system .NET assemblies or folders are not violated by the code.
If the script is inocuous, an indication of this condition in the installer would be a good workaround.

Hi Ricardo and thanks for your problem report. The installer uses some jscript to edit machine.config which, probably, triggers NAV.

marking this as verified since we know what is causing it.
